InfraRecorder 0.53 (64-bit)

InfraRecorder is a popular free CD/DVD authoring tool for users of all Windows versions starting with Windows 2000. It offers everyone fast and intuitive access to all of its powerful features, such as Windows Explorer integration, audio disc creation, mixed-mode projects, custom data burning, creation of disk images (ISO, BIN, CUE), burning of disc images, managing of multi-session disc and much more. If you are on the lookout for all-in-one solution for disc burning and management, InfraRecorder has managed to prove itself as one of the best, especially if you are on the lookout for app that will not even touch your budget.

First version of InfraRecorder was made by Christian Kindahl and many other developers who contributed to this great open source project after it was first released in September of 2006. Today, after many years of steady expansion this free disc authoring tool enables anyone to burn single or dual layer disc, use ISO files as source of data, creation or ripping of audio discs, automatic conversion of audio discs into MP3 files and much more. It’s important to notice that 64bit version has a rare disadvantage that it cannot support libsnd and Ogg Vorbis decoder because those libraries don’t have stable 64bit implementation.

All in all, these and many other features are accessible from very streamlined interface that supports complete control over data and ways that data is burned to the discs. The most crucial part of the disc authoring process, the very burning of data itself, is not done with software that was created by original author of the app but by the help of “cdrtools” software library (independently made open source package for disc burning).

InfraRecorder Features:

  • Create custom data, audio and mixed-mode projects and record them to physical discs as well as disc images.
  • Supports recording to dual-layer DVDs.
